Why all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?

Whats with the single digit salutes and general bad vibes i get when cruising around in my H2

people drive $80.000 european vehicles without a second look but i get dirty looks at every stop lightWhy all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?they are jealous..........blow them off they aren't worth your timeWhy all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?
It has nothing to do with price. They're tree huggers. You use too much gas and cause global warming. I think you are also responsible for 9/11. I call them speed bumps. Why all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?because they dont know that your going to run them over.....
H2 is an extreme vehicle, it has become a symbol of massive overconsumption, there are other vehicles that get poor gas mileage but they have a transportation purpose. Why all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?Because most H2 and Hummer drivers can`t drive the big rigs or park them if there life depended on it...most of the ones I see around my area are thin little women who can`t even see over the dash and there husbands buy them these big rigs to"keep them safe" but at the same time these people are creating safety issues for other drivers. Why all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?
Because they are gas hogs and they really serve no purpose but being a statement vehicle. Most people who buy this vehicle will never take it off-road let alone a gravel one.
Because of the gas consumption............... I like Hummers.........Why all the hate for H2 and Hummer owners in the US?
Well, stop paying so much attention to the other drivers on the road, and just enjoy your H2.
another reason i heard on the radio alot of soldiers say that real hummer drivers enlist. i would get a bumper sticker that says tree huggers suck, or one of those o so cool love your mother (earth) stickers that should get some looks!
The H2 is strictly a status symbol. It tries so hard to look functional but it simply isn't and most of us know this. Some of us still hate what GM did to the real Hummer image with the H2 and 3 (and 4 in the future). Not that I'd ever drive a real Hummer either, but I still have tons of respect for the engineering that went into the H1. H2/3 are only standing on the shoulders of giants, they share nothing but the name, something most "Hummer" owners don't realize. We kind of look at you as posers who want attention I guess. If you truly wanted off road capability you would have purchased a Jeep, Land Rover, Toyota... If you truly cared about seating capacity you would have bought a Yukon or Excursion. You want to look big and macho. That's the only reason yall buy H2's.

Having said this though, I don't give you dirty looks or flip yall off. I am all about your right to buy, own, and drive the H2. I am laughing at you though.
Because they're ridiculous! They are absolutely pointless unless your goal is to get noticed everywhere you go. 98.4% of people who own Hummers have never seen an offroad trail. They are status symbols, a thing of the times, so to speak, like big bangs and leather pants. They just aren't cool anymore unless you're Arnold Schwarzenegger.
All these answers, and nobody even brought up the fact that they're HIDEOUS! They sure can't be selling because of their looks!
