Wow, this is a hard one, Honda gets the better gas milage, Hummer is exempt from the ratings, because it does not conform to certin laws and such, I can't remember the full story on this, but the Hummer has no rating for milage, The H1 that is, the H2 and H3 I'm not sure about. but either way the Honda wins on milage.
i mechanic for a living,,and the new hummer 3 is not bad on gas at all its not like the Honda is,,but not too far behind it either,some of the Honda 4 wheel drive SUV,s don't get that good of gas mileage either,id say it would be close between the two of them,,id compare them to see for sure,but we both know the Honda will probably do better ,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years.What would be beter on gas hummer or honda?

What kind of Honda? What kind of Hummer? If you're comparing a Hummer H2 to a Honda Civic or Accord, obviously the Honda. If you're comparing a Hummer H3 to a Honda Pilot (SUV), then they are fairly equal, but the Honda still wins.
