What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?

obviously, when I see such a person, I think first of all....they are fairly well off and have some money to afford such an expensive SUV, but then another thought crosses my mind almost immediately........and its like " what a selfish self absorbed insensitive jerk !!! "What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?I think what a big ego that person has and is only showing off.*What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?
I don't concern myself with it.

Personally I feel that the people who decide that another person is a: "a selfish self absorbed insensitive jerk !!! " based on how they choose to spend their money and live their lives - especally when their choice of car does not affect you at all - are the real: "selfish self absorbed insensitive jerk !!! "What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?Well, there is the well known belief that ppl who drive really large vehicles are compensating for something else that is very small. hehe

Crashworthiness of a vehicle is important, but the Hummer is really overdoing and is too clumsy to drive in a large city. It might be useful in rural areas with muddy roads, however. Practical SUVs like the BMW X3 and the Honda CRV are imho the future.

Even if I won $100 M in the lotto, I wouldn't drive a Hummer.
To be honest with you, my first thought is, "Wow, they must have a lot of money to burn on gas. Sure hope they don't have kids, because they're going to leave a shitty environment to them."

It really makes me laugh when someone driving a giant SUV has a yellow "Support our Troops" sticker on the back. We're fighting a war for oil, and you have the nerve to drive a vehicle that guzzles oil and still claim that you support our troops? That's funny. What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?I usually ponder things like how would they pry a Prius out of the front grill.

In reality, it's not much different than people buying a 50 or 60" tv when something smaller would easily get the job done. Or people who buy gaming PCs with 10 graphics cards in them and a 1500watt power supply. Or those who invest 10s of thousands on home theater setups. Or even people who might buy a small car but drive a whole lot more often than they really need to proving that they really don't care about conservation but instead just want it to look like they do.What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?
I honestly don't care.

I just don't want to hear any whining and crying when it costs them $100 to fill it up weekly, when the majority of miles are used to drop the kids off at soccer practice.

Personally, I think you have to be really f-cking dumb to spend thousands extra over the life of the vehicle, to buy a 4x4 and drive it on the street only.
To answer your question i think...ah...ah, i really don't think anything. I really don't try and pass judgment on people that drive certain cars, live in certain houses, work at certain jobs...ect.

I try and live my life as i see fit, because i know that i am better than no one else, especially if i look down my nose at them. What do you think of someone who drives a Hummer that gets like 8 miles to the gallon?
I live in an area where some of these people drive in truly nasty conditions, where such vehicles come in handy. If I'm winching out my Toyota Tacoma that's buried half-way up the door in mud, I'm even a little jealous at the time. When I meet them at the gas station, I get over it.
I really don't care what others can afford, or what they choose to drive.

I don't judge people by the car they drive either....

I think it's a dumb choice, and I would never drive a Hummer....but it's none of my business what they choose to do.
I thought we were still free to drive the car we want! I say, if this person likes it, can afford it, he's still free to do so.

Of course there are always jerks who think they're in such a lofty position that they should pass judgment.
remember that episode of half and half when Spencer used to park his Hummer in the parking lot and secretly ride a bicycle....you either have to have a lot of pride, deep pockets or a secret form of transportation to drive a hummer...lol
This is the same as the decision to have a wide screen TV instead of a small CRT box that fits on a shelf. Or a garage door opener instead of getting out of your car every time you get home to open the door manually.
So the guy who drives a honda 40 miles to work is somehow better than the guy who drives a hummer 5?You sir are a tool...Hating on success is the sign of a fool.
I picture myself driving it and thinking what i would think... "i bet i'm pissing every liberal tree hugger off that see's me in this thing LOL" (that really is what i would think too)
Yeah,,," what a selfish self absorbed insensitive jerk !!! ", that's what I think when I see a Prius.
I think "hahaha! You overpaid for that piece of junk, pay crazy amounts of money to run it, and get way more tickets than any other car or truck model to boot! What a tool!"
I just smile at them as I ride past them on a bicycle as they are stuck by the side of the road without any gas.
It's a free country.

other then that I didn't mind it as much when GM made them but now that they are made by a Chinese company it is a different story.
I really don't care. If I could effort to buy a Hummer, pay for the gas and insurance--I would have one.
Why do you hate successful people? Your rant left many clues as to what you are.
This is America so you should drive what you want.
