Is the Hummer H3 the best off-road vehicle that $30,000 can buy? Or would it be a used Land Cruiser?

If you were to spend no more than 30 grand and wanted a real off-roader, what would you get? Would you buy a Jeep? A Nissan Pathfinder/Frontier? A low milage, used, Toyota Land Cruiser (one of the best off-roaders in the last 50 years). Or, would you just buy a brand new Hummer H3 or the all new H3T?Is the Hummer H3 the best off-road vehicle that $30,000 can buy? Or would it be a used Land Cruiser?Wrangler. Its cheap, simple, and has an after market that can provide an endless source of parts geared towards anything you would ever want to do off road. Its also smaller than everything you listed there which means it can go places they wont.



The H3 (although its just a modified Chevy Colorado) is actually pretty good off road too. Just don't try the underpowered I5.Is the Hummer H3 the best off-road vehicle that $30,000 can buy? Or would it be a used Land Cruiser?
In my opinion as a h3 owner, the h3 is defenitly a excellent choice for an offroader. Its more than just colorado. Although i havent tried all the other vehicles named, i cant see any other then maybe the jeep that can go as far as the h3 straight from stock.

Or would it be a used Land Cruiser?The only Hummer that could handle serious off-roading was the no-longer available H1, based as it was, on rhe military Humvee. The H2 %26amp; H3 are just restyled Suburbans and Tacomas, respectively. Not the best base from which to build capable off-roaders.



Land Cruisers are is use all over the world. They are very capable and extremely tough. For off-roading, a Jeep is also a good choice as long as you're not talking about the Compass %26amp; Patriot. Is the Hummer H3 the best off-road vehicle that $30,000 can buy? Or would it be a used Land Cruiser?
personally I would get a 2000-2003 ford ranger used for 10,000 and use the rest of the money to modify it so that its built for what I want to do if you drive on sand build it for that if you do deep water crossings then build it for that, there are so many aftermarket parts that I personally believe that makes the ford ranger the best cheap 4x4Is the Hummer H3 the best off-road vehicle that $30,000 can buy? in a recent test by truck trend, the nissan xterra and jeep unlimited tied, but the nissan was better on road.
