How can i remove the tire carrier on my 2008 hummer h2?

I think the car looks better without it. I know i wont have a spare tire then, but thats what onstar and roadside assistance is for. Has anyone removed this before???How can i remove the tire carrier on my 2008 hummer h2?H2's were sold either with that carrier or with the tire inside the cargo area (although that takes up a lot of space). So you can take it off, but don't drive that thing around without a spare - what if you get a flat? Onstar and/or roadside assistance or AAA will not show up and repair the tire, nor will they replace it if it's not repairable, you'll have to get towed somewhere for repairs, that could really ruin your day. And if you get a flat at night you won't find a place to repair or replace the tire. Definitely carry the spare, one way or another.
