I plan to rebuild an 93 military hummer. What type of frame does it have so i can find a suspension kit?

I want to do a full rebuild. but before i tackle the hummer or Humvee. i need to also know whats the oldest year i could go to be able to do the build successively and with out to much time? so right now the first step is trying to find a full suspension kit with rotors, shocks, etc...I plan to rebuild an 93 military hummer. What type of frame does it have so i can find a suspension kit?that would be the suburban but you will need more than the factory suspension kit



As General Motor Co added 8 Inches to the frame to make the Hummer.



Anything in the Chevy Suburban range for that year will work with very little mods.



However, I do Suggest you go with a heaver up grade kit to build the Hummer as it out weighs the Suburban by half again.I plan to rebuild an 93 military hummer. Now, if you're talking about the H2, it's on a Suburban frame, but it's a poor copy of the original. There are a few real military Hummers around, but they're expensive. Check e-bay. So, if you're talking an H2, look for a 3/4 ton four wheel drive Suburban.
