Land rovers are much more reliable then h1's. They are smaller so can drive on the same jeep trails that the big h1 can't. If you plan on driving this vehicle to your job, out on a date with your girl, and go off roading then the land rover is for you. H1 hummers are not reliable. Everyone I know says to have a back up car before buying an H1. H1's will go through much more then what any land rover owner could dream of. They can ford up to 3 feet of water and with a little modification it will ford up to 5 feet of water. All hummers come with lockers already built in. So stock you'll be able to clime rocks from the beginning.

Land Rover - Not so much

Fuel Consumption:

Hummer - Soooo much fuel

Land Rover - Not as bad as the hummer

Spec:

Hummer - has a lot more torque

Land Rover - more ECU controlled with torque when off road

Ability to off road:

Hummer - not so much too big

Land Rover - is more ecu controlled and are a lot better off road

Maintenance:

Hummer - iswidelyy expensive if needed to repair and would take long timee

Land Rover - not so much but parts are a lot cheaper

for serious off roading over 5 miles, then get the defender, since it can go much, much further than an H1.

Defender will do 32mpg (IMP), and H1 will do about 5mpg.

Plus the defender is a lot cheaper.
