I see no good reason for using a Hummer to do the family food shopping but they look as if they would make a good car for use in the field. How ignorant are most of these people answering this question? Polluting? These vehicles have the EXACT SAME engine and transmission as a Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban...Nobody is raising a fuss about these vehicles. And as for those hybrid lovers that think they are helping things those batteries are classified as Hazardous Waste once they are disposed of posing a much larger threat to the environment. No. The Hummer did not cause the auto industry's problems and ending its production won't solve them.
