It's a nuisance of a car to own, as it is probably the most unreliable American car made in the last 20 years. Expect that sooner or later, it will literally fall apart on you and the cost of repairs and parts are very, very high. The prestige value of tooling around town in the beast may not make up for the fact that eventually, you'll find that it won't start or will begin to run very, very poorly. A really terrible vehicle, overpriced when new, and expensive and a pain to keep running.Is a '06 Hummer 3 a safe car for a 16 year old?Safe, sure. But there is absolutely NO reason a 16 year old needs such a large and expensive vehicle, esp. with such poor gas mileage.Hummers, Escalades, etc are not made for teens and generally a poor choice.
