Hold that remote right near the home link button in the car you want to program. press and hold both the home link button and the remote at the same time until the small light goes from blinking slowly to blinking rapidly. release both buttons. Go to the back of the garage door opener motor head and there should be a square or circle button (depending on the brand) press that button once (a small l.e.d. should turn on) Within 30 seconds return to the car and press the home link button you previously pressed with the remote. The lights on the opener should blink and it will be programmed. It sounds harder than than it actually is. If you have trouble look in your cars owners manual for Home link it should have the instructions in there.
